What is The Wickaboo?

Well, it started out as an ancient folklore. That is if you consider two years as ancient!

We often tell our girls stories we make up as we go. In one story, there were loud “WICKABOO!” noises that made the house shake. In our story, we tried to figure out where the noises were coming from. Our search took us outside, and, eventually, over to our sandbox. When we lifted the sandbox cover, we discovered The Wickaboo, who couldn't stop hiccupping. Poor thing.

We encourage our daughters to add to the stories, and one of them decided The Wickaboo should have a drink to help the hiccups go away. In the story, she turned on the garden hose and wet the sandbox. The Wickaboo slurped it up quickly, curing the hiccups instantly.

At our home, The Wickaboo is alive and well, although we're not clear if The Wickaboo is the sandbox itself, or if he lives in the sandbox. I guess it's up to each person's interpretation. Or maybe The Wickaboo’s.

Our Philosophy

• Children of all ages need to talk about their emotions. We like to encourage our children to discuss their emotions, so we can help them deal with them in a socially acceptable way.
• We believe that each child deserves to receive individual attention, therefore we are only accepting a limited amount of children.
• We want our children to be the healthiest they can be. To help with this, most of our food (including milk and juices) will be organic.
• Our promise to you is that we will treat your children like ours!
